Sudinhub Trials Public Transport Lane Near Lebak Bulus MRT Station

South Jakarta Transportation Sub-department (Sudinhub) trials new lane at Lebak Bulus MRT Station especially for public transport. It is located on the left side of the station.

Through this trial, we want to encourage people to prefer using public transport

South Jakarta Sudinhub Head, Christianto conveyed, his side opens left lane of MRT station for passengers who want to continue their trip using public transport such as Transjakarta bus, Transjakarta feeder bus, Jak Lingko, and others.

"We also socialize it to all road users, especially online transport and private vehicle users for not using this lane since it is only for public transport," he stated, Tuesday (8/27).

For information, this trial is applied from Friday (8/23) until one month ahead. During trial period, private vehicles are directed to drop off and pick up passengers in transit plaza which is located in front of Lebak Bulus Point Square.

"We have provided Lebak Bulus Park and Ride facility for private vehicle users. But we are still giving tolerance for online transports and private vehicles which are carrying elderly or disabled passengers to use this lane," he mentioned.

His side deploys five personnel and other MRT security personnel to open and close the lane.

"Through this trial, we want to encourage people to prefer using public transport. Besides, we hope it also can make our public transport to be more organized thus it can solve traffic congestion that usually occurs," he explained.
