352 Athletes Competed in Gymnastic Jakarta Open

As many as 352 athletes from 11 clubs in Jakarta, Bandung, Banten, Tangerang, Surabaya and Belitung are selected to compete in the Gymnastic Jakarta Open 2019 held at the Raden Inten Gymnasium, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, on 5-7 September. 

It is held to measure the achievement of coaching gymnastics athletes

The Gymnastic Jakarta Open 2019 is divided into four categories, namely artistic men's gymnastics (30 athletes), artistic women's gymnastics (120 athletes), aerobic gymnastics (75 athletes) and rhythmic gymnastics (127 athletes).

"It is held to measure the achievement of coaching gymnastics athletes and become one of the benchmarks of coach success," expressed Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency Head, Achmad Firdaus, Thursday (9/5).

In addition to create talented athletes, it also aimed to inject competing experience through competition between athletes and clubs.

"In the future, we hope they can achieve the highest performance and win championships at national and international levels," he hoped.

He added that the quality and quantity of this competition would continuously be improved in the coming years, including by inviting participants from other countries.

"We also want to strengthen friendships, foster unity and establish brotherhood between fellow athletes," he said.
