Road Improvement in 10 Transjakarta Corridors Being More Focused

We'll focus on spots that are experiencing damage

Through Jakarta Bina Marga Agency, the Jakarta Provincial Government will pay serious attention to the poor condition of roads across the city, especially on the Transjakarta bus lanes in 10 corridors. 

"Based on our data, the overall length of the damaged road reaches 11 km," said Jakarta Bina Marga Agency Head, Hari Nugroho, Thursday (9/5).

North Jakarta Prepares Periodic Road Repairs Plan

To do repair, the rapid setting concrete will be used, as it is different than other concretes, either from the quality or its composition. Moreover this material also has the endurance of the next four to five years.

Besides it is fast to get hard, it is also to save processing time, which takes only 8-10 hours than other materials for 14-28 days.  

"To flatten, we use a laser through a computer that is able to measure the longitudinal and its geometric thus it's more accurate," he explained.

The work has been ongoing at Corridor I (Blok M-Kota) in Setiabudi section, Corridor III (Kalideres-Harmoni) on Jalan Kyai Tapa section, near Sumber Waras Hospital.

"We do this work at 12 AM until 6 AM. Especially for 10 corridors, we target to finish it within 2.5 months," he stated.
