22 Dasa Wisma members from RW 01, 02 and 03 of Pari Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands are educated by North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-department's Sector 8 Team about fire prevention and handling at Pari Island Urban Village Office's Hall.

For information, Dasa Wisma group is contained of 10 families who live in the same neighborhood which is formed to support running PKK program.

"We educate 22 Dasa Wisma members the proper way in using electricity-related goods and gas cylinder," stated Satriadi Gunawan, North Jakarta and South Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-department Head, Tuesday (9/10).

This fire education is done to follow up Jakarta Governor Instruction (Ingub) No. 65/2019 about Residents Movement to Prevent Fire.

"We also encourage them to participate in listing fire hazards in their neighborhood that is mostly caused by gas and improper electrical installation," he added.

At first, Gulkarmat personnel will be deployed to assist participants in listing the fire hazards before they can do it on their own.

"They have a task to ensure each ho uses in their neighborhood whether safe from fire or not," he explained.
