Work Safety Tips Given to Thousand Islands Fishermen

Staying healthy and safe at work is important. No matter what your job, it is important to reduce your risks of injury and illness during work.

This time, it was the turn of 52 fishermen incorporated in the Joint Business Group (KUB) who got work safety tips from the Thousand Islands Regency at the Pramuka Island's Community Center, North Thousand Islands, on Tuesday (9/10).

This socialization discussed about how to provide early help to drowned victims or basic life support. "We also provide life jackets to them," said Thousand Islands Government and People's Welfare Assistance, Arief Wibowo.

Guidance for Sebira Island Fishermen Intensified

Despite only few were present, the participants are expected to share their new knowledge to other fishermen.

Panggang Island Urban Village Head, Pepen Kuswandi welcomed it positively and hoped that it could increase the capacity of fishermen in working, especially a matter of personal safety.

"Thank you to the government and the company for inviting them in this activity," he said.
