137 People in Jatinegara Trained to Prevent and Handle Fire

As many as 137 people were educated about fire training how to prevent and handle the fire in the Cipinang Muara Urban Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, on Monday (9/16) late afternoon. 

This activity is a follow-up action from Gubernatorial Instruction number 65/2019 on the movement to prevent fire

"This activity is a follow-up action from Gubernatorial Instruction number 65/2019 on the movement to prevent fire," expressed Jatinegara Sub-district Fire and Rescue Sector Platoon Head, Hari Purwanto.

Besides fire prevention using wet sack and APAR, they were also trained how to install electricity and gas stoves in accordance with SNI.

Gulkarmat Trains Cilangkap Residents to Handle Fire

Cipinang Muara Urban Village Head, Eddy Sofyan Latief added that those 137 people consisted of members of Dasa Wisma, sub-district discussion forum (LMK), early awareness society forum (FKDM), RW, family welfare movement (TP PKK) from RW 03 and 06.

Both RWs are categorized as densely populated areas and prone to fires. In September, the same training was also held in Cipinang Besar Utara Urban Village.

"Hopefully this activity can further increase citizens' knowledge about fire prevention," he hoped.
