MoU Over Evidence of Passing Electronic Tests Signed

The ministry's director for road transportation, Sigit Irfansyah and Jakarta transportation agency head, Syafrin Liputo signed an MoU over evidence of passing electronic tests at the Pulogadung vehicle test center (PKB), on Monday (9/16).

By doing so, the city has automatically applied the evidence of passing the vehicle test using a smart card.

Liputo disclosed smart card to this vehicle test acts to adjust to the development of the digital age, thus all must change by using an electronic system.

"After kir test, the vehicle data will be included in the smart card which was previously recorded in a kir book," he told.

This test has been integrated with Bank DKI's cash management system (CMS).

"We're now further developing national integration," he exclaimed.

Through this new concept, each vehicle that will conduct the test in Jakarta or other areas can be controlled from the area of origin.

Surely it can also meet and support the aspects of road safety and the feasibility of all public transport and freight transport.

On the other hand, Irfansyah appreciated the electronic test system using a smart card. He hopes that other regions could imitate it thus all vehicle test data would be integrated with one another.

"Smart card is more practical and prevents counterfeiting. Because all data has entered the system and is easy for us to monitor," he closed.
