Indeed, there are hydraulic trash bin around the location. But since the trashes are abundant, they are piling until onto the riverbank

Based on beritajakarta.com, trashes are mounting on Cengkareng Drain riverbank. Those trashes come from households as well as street vendors who trade around the location. This situation makes the area looks slum and smelly because of the foul odor coming from the trashes.

According to Zaini (37), a local, trashes are mounting on Cengkareng Drain riverbank because the janitors do not pick them up routinely. As a result, trash mount sometimes even reaches one meter high.

“Our officers routinely pick up the trashes on Cengkareng Drain riverbank once every two days. And as form of seriousness, they also routinely clean the scattered trashes and put them in into the trash bin,” she stated.
