PT. Jaktour Plans to Form Four New Divisions

PT. Jakarta Tourisindo (Jaktour), one of Jakarta Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD), plans to form four new divisions in 2020. Thus its core business will not only focus on hospitality.

Later, we will not only manage our own hotel, but also hotels owned by other parties with cooperation system

Those four divisions are food and beverage division with label JakF&B, leisure division with label Jakleisure, education division with label JakEdu, and Information and Technology Division with label JakInfotech.

PT. Jaktour President Director, Jeffry Zacharias Rantung said, his side will take a part in developing tourism by becoming stakeholder that will develop facilities and infrastructures for tourist destinations in Jakarta such as in Thousand Islands and Kota Tua, and cooperating with construction service companies.

Jaktour Plans to Develop Business in Thousand Islands

"Later, we will not only manage our own hotel, but also hotels owned by other parties with cooperation system," he mentioned, Saturday (9/21).

According to him, his side through Jakleisure will collaborate with PT. Pembangunan Jaya Ancol to build team park and water park facilities in Grand Cempaka Resort in Puncak, West Java.

"We will also build shopping center with one-stop mall concept on Jalan TB Simatupang, South Jakarta," he added.

Meanwhile through JakEdu division, his side plans to build education facilities to produce human resources that will be used for internal and external needs in tourism and hospitality business.

"Through JakInfotech, we will have our own application  to support operational for all divisions," he mentioned.
