The Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency is holding a fire simulation at the Mega Grosir shopping center, Jalan Letjen Suprapto, Sumur Batu Urban Village, Kemayoran Sub-district.

The material given relates to the handling of fire, evacuations and fire fighting. The firefighters also introduce supporting vehicles such as, light rescue, ambulance, medium pump vehicles and skylift.

Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency's Kemayoran 6 Sector Division Head, Unggul Wibowo said this purposes to provide education and increase awareness of potential fires.

"We involve 30 firefighters here, supported by several tactical vehicles and ambulances to simulate the handling of victims," he expressed, Tuesday (9/24).

Hopefully the community and building management can better understand the initial steps during a fire to minimize casualties and material losses.

"This simulation also gives benefits related to the readiness and alertness of our personnel," he said.
