Dishub Opens Jakarta Transportation Council Registration

Jakarta Transportation Department (Dishub) opens registration for Jakartans who are interested to be Jakarta Transportation Council (DTKJ) 2020-2023. Registration is opened on October 7-21, 2019.

According to plan, DTKJ 2020-2023 will be inaugurated in early April 2020

DTKJ prospective members will be selected based on their background in university, transportation experts, transportation businessmen, public transport users, transport crews, and non-governmental organization (LSM) in transportation field.

Jakarta Dishub Secretary, Budi Setiawan conveyed, people who are interested can access dishub.jakarta.go.id/download/persyaratan-formulir-pendaftaran-anggota-dtkj-periode-2020-2023/ for registration.

Participants documents will be assessed by selection committee (pansel) consists of regional government officials and stakeholders.

"Pansel from Jakarta Provincial Government internal are consist of Legal Bureau, Inspectorate, Civil Service Agency, Organization Bureau. While from external, there are Organda, academics, experts, and Transportation non-governmental organization, and police," he informed, Monday (10/7).

DTKJ membership period is 3 years. Those who have served for 2 periods are not allowed to register again.

"According to plan, DTKJ 2020-2023 will be inaugurated in early April 2020, or after term of office of DTKJ 2017-2020 period ended in March 2020," he conveyed.

He mentioned that DTKJ is an independent institution that acts as consultation and coordination forum between citizens and local government.

"DTKJ's job is to collect citizens' inputs and provide material considerations towards regional policies related to transportation," he added.

DTKJ's function, he continued, is to receive and collect inputs from citizens regarding city transportation management. Besides, they need to analize and convey citizens inputs to the local government regarding city transportation management.

"DTKJ also gives inputs and consideration to the government related to city transportation policies. It includes to give evaluation towards implemented policies and mediate the public and government related to public transportation management," he asserted.
