West Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-department accelerates mud dredging on connecting (PHB) channel that is located on Jalan Belibis Terusan, Palmerah.
Our target is to complete this dredging for the next two weeks or end of this month
Palmerah SDA Unit Head, Pepen conveyed, dredging is done to prevent inundation, especially in area behind SMAN 16 school.
According to him, this PHB channel has length of 200 meters. While his side has dredged 50 meters of total channel's length.
Mud Dredging in Channel of Jalan Kemayoran Barat Completed"Our target is to complete this dredging for the next two weeks or end of this month," he said, Monday (10/14).
His side deployed one mobile pump to suck up the mud sedimentation that has piled up to a depth of 2 meters.
"14 personnel deployed to dredge it. Until now, we have transported one truck of mud and garbage from the channel," he explained.
