Anies Invites Legislative-Executive to Strengthen Collaboration

Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, attended and witnessed the oath of office and inauguration of the Jakarta DPRD Chairman Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, in the Plenary Meeting Room, Jakarta Council Building, on Monday (14/10) afternoon. Similar oath of office was also done by Jakarta DPRD Vice Chairmen, namely Mohamad Taufik, Abdurrahman Suhaimi, Misan Samsuri and Zita Anjani.

On that occasion, he congratulated those who were appointed and invited to work together in realizing the Jakarta Provincial Government's vision that is to create a developed, sustainable and cultured city whose citizens are involved in realizing civilization, justice and prosperity for all, through five main missions.

He also conveys other key missions, including making Jakarta a city that promotes prosperity and through the creation of employment, stability and affordability of basic needs, increased social justice, accelerated infrastructure development, ease of investment and business and improved spatial planning management.

Then, making Jakarta as a place for the state apparatus to work, serve and solve city and citizens problems effectively.

He also wants to make Jakarta more sustainable with development and living arrangements that strengthen the environmental and social carrying capacity, as well as the fifth point is to create a dynamic capital city as a node of Indonesia's progress characterized by justice, nationality and diversity.

It surely needs the role of DPRD, especially in the midst of new paradigms and changes. Thus there must be careful work, innovation to build collaboration, intensive synergy in the implementation of development.

"This is indeed the responsibility of the executive. But we still need them to advance the development of Jakarta," he stated.

Moreover, the city has a strategic development program that must be completed for citizens, such as the development of improved accessibility for disabled people through assistance in meeting basic needs for disabled people, improved PAUD access, night study movement, water supply, wastewater management.

There are also intermediate treatment facility (ITF) development and waste reduction in the upstream/source, vertical drainage development in all government buildings to reduce rainwater, vertical garden/roof top movement to increase green cover, flats, decent dwellings, infrastructure and utility improvement in urban areas, flat revitalization and village arrangement through community action plan preparation.

Additionally there are other social programs, namely poverty reduction, provision of Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) Plus, Jakarta Excellent Student Card (KJMU), health insurance fulfillment, women's honor, increased entrepreneurship and employment opportunities, online services development for licensing and non-licensing, food security improvement for apparatus integrity development, development and improvement of smart city application, big data infrastructure capacity building along with analysis tools, data security, etc.
