Jakarta Secretary, Saefullah explained three strategies of Jakarta Provincial Government in managing waste in the capital.
We are focusing on those three strategies which are also included as Regional Strategic Activity (KSD)
Those are optimizing Bantar Gebang Integrated Waste Treatment Area (TPST) in Bekasi, West Java; reducing waste from the source, and building Intermediate Treatment Facility (ITF).

City to Form Waste Management Agency in Each RegionsRelated to city's strategy in reducing waste from the source, Jakarta Provincial Government will intensify Waste Joint Responsibility (Samtama) Movement. This movement is now focused on 22 RWs as a pilot project for other 2,927 RWs in Jakarta.
"Samtama Movement is now practiced in 22 RWs as a pilot project. But gradually it will increase and more people become aware to reduce their own waste," he conveyed.
