Legislators from Three Regional Councils Visit Jakarta DPRD

Legislators from Palangkaraya Council (DPRD), Banjarmasin Regency DPRD, and Banjar DPRD conducted a comparative study to Jakarta DPRD regarding Jakarta DPRD's roles in improving the Locally-Generated Revenue (PAD) and managing regional assets.

We can minimize the risk by making regulation

In order to improve PAD, Banjar Regency DPRD Vice Chairman II, Muhammad Syahril wants to find out the mechanism of parking sector management that is managed by the local government.

"We want to learn about its regulation (Perda). Because in our region, there are many areas used for parking but controlled by third parties. So, we want to make a regulation to take over it through local government," he explained, Monday (11/11).

Meanwhile legislator from Palangkaraya DPRD, Subandi stated his side wants to learn about mechanism of regional asset management, starts from the planning until the realization.  

"In the field, there are many things that should be fixed because data collecting and completeness of the document haven't run optimally. We want to be like DKI, where it has started inventorying assets," he asserted.

Jakarta DPRD Legislator, Hasan Basri Umar explained that legislators could insist to create the regulation to bind and arrange the management mechanism.

"We can minimize the risk by making regulation, both for asset management and parking. Jakarta has owned its special regulation," he said.
