50 Jagakarsa SDA Personnel Deployed to Monitor Sluices

As many as 50 personnel of Jagakarsa Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Unit, South Jakarta are alerted to monitor condition of sluice gates in the rainy season.

Those personnel are also deployed to check water channels, ditches, retaining walls, and infiltration wells in the region.

"InsyaAllah, most of total 14 sluices in Jagakarsa are ready to face the upcoming rainy season," disclosed Jagakarasa SDA Unit Head, Erna said, Thursday (11/14).

These sluices are located along Cabang Tengah River, Setu Babakan, Jalan Soe, Babakan Atas Connecting Channel, and Babakan Bawah Connecting Channel.

"We also repair the channels and retaining walls (turap), as well as drain the water storage ponds and infiltration wells," she mentioned.

According to him, Jagakarsa is a newly developed area and has a high and low land contours. Thus, during the rainy season, around 50 SDA personnel will be dispatched to handle inundation and flood on the field.

"We will try our best to handle it," he said.
