Kramat Jati Villagers Want Channels Normalization to Be a Priority

Citizens living in RT 04/09, Tengah Urban Village, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, requested for water channel normalization in a bid to minimize flooding when it rains.

This request was conveyed directly to the Jakarta DPRD's Commission B Member Adi Kurnia Setiadi when he visited the RT 04/09 to conduct a recess.

Representing locals, Engkus said that it was actually conveyed already in the Rembuk RW until Musrenbang.

"I expect them (council) to soon realize our request. But we were even surprised by the road improvement project that is running in our village," he expressed, Wednesday (11/20).

Hearing this, Setiadi promised to soon follow up and coordinate it with the legislative and regional apparatus organizations (OPD) in charge.

"I'm here to fight for the aspirations of citizens to get a solution as soon as possible," he explained.

He added, during the Jakarta DPRD Recess period 2019-2024, he had visited 16 locations and received dozens of aspirations, proposals or input from locals. Apart from infrastructure, they also expressed aspirations related to non-physical development such as education, health and entrepreneurship.

"And now this is the time to fight for your aspirations to be realized towards Jakarta to develop its city and be happy with its citizens," he closed.
