Starting December 1, Jakarta LRT Charges Normal Fare

After testing LRT by opening it to public on June 11, LRT Jakarta Company will officially charge the normal fare starting this December. This rail-based transport is expected to be an alternative of public transportation in Jakarta.

LRT has 5.8 kilometers track

PT. LRT Jakarta President Director, Wijanarko conveyed, LRT normal fare is applied along with completeness of operational permit that has been issued because LRT has met the safety procedures.

"LRT has 5.8 kilometers track from Pegangsaan Dua Station, Boulevard Utara Station, Boulevard Selatan Station, Pulomas Station, Equestrian, until Velodrome Station with operational hour from 5:30 AM until 11 PM ," he informed, Monday (11/25).

LRT Phase 2 Project is Still Under the Stage of Basic Design Development

According to him, normal fare is set Rp 5,000 per trip for both far and near trip starting December 1.

"Customers can pay the fare using Single Journey Trip (SJT) that can be obtained through ticket counter or ticket vending machine. Moreover, customers can also use electronic money card such as e-Money (Bank Mandiri), Flazz (Bank BCA), Tap-Cash (Bank BNI), Brizzi (Bank BRI), Jakcard (Bank DKI), and Jak Lingko (Bank DKI/BNI)," he mentioned.

According to him, LRT operation and normal fare charging have been socialized directly through LRT officers in every stations, banner, and announcement via social media.

"We also assisted by communities, mass media, and bloggers to socialize this information," he conveyed.
