Aquathlon Overall Winner Amazed by the Beauty of Tidung Island

The 2019 Aquathlon overall winner Leorudolf Zega (32), from the Nias Islands, North Sumatra, admires the beauty and cleanliness of Tidung Island, Thousand Islands.

"I appreciate and be amazed by the beauty of the sea and the cleanliness of Tidung Island," he expressed, Monday (11/25).

He was happy, as he could be a participant in the Aquathlon competition and could visit Tidung Island, which has local wisdom and friendly local citizens.

"Hopefully, this kind of competition can be held every year on Tidung Island," he explained.

Thousand Islands Tourism and Culture Sub-agency Head Cucu Ahmad Kurnia expressed that this competition was quite successful yesterday. There were 500 participants who previously joined in and 200 participants who passed the selection.

"Hopefully, in the future, this is not just a sporting event but it can become an annual tourism agenda," he stated.

As for the information, besides Leorudolf Zega, the second place is achieved by Kimi San Akbar, third place is Christoper Hartanto. While for the female category champion, the first place is achieved by Jeanny, second place is Marlene Chandra and third place is Estherina Emily. Each receives medals and tens of millions of rupiah.
