Citizens Appreciate Anies to Help Cleaning Environment After Flood

As a leader who cares about his citizens, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan took his time to help local citizens clean up the environment after the flood in Makassar Urban Village, Makassar Sub-district, East Jakarta, on Sunday (1/5).

Not only giving instruction, he (Anies) joined together to clean our environment

Besides that, there were also ranks of Jakarta Provincial Government along with army and police. They worked hand in hand to clean up trash, mud and furniture damaged by flooding.

Surely, his presence received appreciation from locals. One of them was Meilani, a citizen of RT 09/07, Makassar Urban Village. She was very amazed and proud to see the governor participate in helping the citizens.

Personnel and Locals Cooperate to Clean Up Petamburan Area

"Not only giving instruction, he (Anies) joined together to clean our environment," she told.

She also appreciated all ranks and units under the city involved in cleaning up their settlement environment.

"Alhamdulillah we are very grateful for this assistance. We also hope that our environment can be free from flooding in the future," she explained.

Another comment also came out from one of citizens, Andi. He said, his presence gave motivation and increasingly arouses community togetherness.

"We become even more excited, as there are leaders and other people who really care about us being hit by disaster," he exclaimed.

As for the information, this mass cleanup action was also participated by City Secretary Saefullah; East Jakarta Mayor Muhammad Anwar, as well as ranks of SKPD and UKPD.
