Jakarta DWP Chairwoman Rusmiati Saefullah said that the visit aimed to strengthen silaturahmi (friendship) and encourage and awaken the mentality of citizens in facing disasters.

"Alhamdulillah we can share even a little. Hopefully it will be useful for the citizens and blessings for us," she stated.

She also reminded citizens to maintain cleanliness, safety and health in the rainy season.

"Hopefully a disaster like this won't happen again," she hoped.

North Jakarta Mayor Sigit Wijatmoko explained that the inundation in his region completely receded from the citizens' settlements since Sunday (1/5) afternoon.

"Since yesterday we have been cleaning with locals. We also send 25 trucks to transport 20 cubic meters of waste," he closed.
