North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-department builds crossing channel at RT 08 and RT 09 of RW 04, Tugu Selatan, Koja. This channel will be used to drain water from settlements to Cakung Lama River.

Tugu Selatan Urban Village Head, Sukarmin mentioned, crossing channel is built to overcome the flood because that settlement was previously flooded in early January. Based on the evaluation result, his side found out that channel in the settlement was often clogged and potentially cause inundation.

Channel on Jalan Pintu Besar Selatan DrainedHis side tries to solve the problem by building crossing channel as long as 5 meters in two locations. First is located at RT 08/04 with width 60 centimeters and second with width 100 meters at RT 09/04.
"We hope this crossing channel can solve drainage system in RW 04 settlement. It takes around two weeks to build these crossing channels," he asserted.
