Commission D Hopes Waste Management at Bantargebang to Be Better and Effective

The Jakarta DPRD's Commission D conducted a visit to the Bantargebang Landfill, Bekasi, West Java, on Wednesday (1/29).

Our hope is waste management can be better and effective

The Commission D Chairwoman Ida Mahmudah said that this visit was to directly see the process and method of controlling waste originating from five urban areas in Jakarta.

"Our hope is waste management can be better and effective," she expressed.

Post-Flood, 55.8 Thousand Tons of Waste Transported to Bantargebang

Therefore, the Environment Agency as a leading sector should find anticipatory solutions and follow up on the acceleration of the Intermediate Treatment Facilities (ITF) as a modern technology-based waste processing.

"In future, we will invite the ranks of Environment Agency and Jakarta Propertindo to find the best solution," she explained.

While, Jakarta Environment Agency Head Andono Warih explained that the agency continued to coordinate in following up on the takeover of the ITF development.

"Our current strategy is to soon realize the ITF development," she stated.
