FSTJ Holds Market Operation for Garlic Commodity in 14 Locations

In order to stabilize garlic price in market, PT. Food  Station Tjipinang Jaya (FSTJ) holds market operation in 14 locations in Jakarta.

It is Rp 20 thousand per 500 grams

PT. FSTJ President Director, Jaya Arief Prasetyo Adi stated, market operation targets several traditional markets in Jakarta, such as Tanah Abang Market, Palmerah Market, Kebayoran Lama Market, Kramat Jati Market, Anyer Bahari Market, and Senen Market.

"Garlic stock in Jakarta reaches 1,102 tons or 38 containers in total," he added, Thursday (2/6).

Moreover, his side also coordinates with central government through Agriculture Ministry (Kementan) and Trade Ministry (Kemendag) to maintain the stability of garlic price thus it is still affordable for most people.

"We continue to take anticipatory steps to prevent a surge in garlic price in Jakarta," he asserted.

One of FSTJ employees, Abdul Deni conveyed, his side supplies 20 kilograms of kating garlic to Palmerah Market for this market operation.

"It is Rp 20 thousand per 500 grams. It is quite affordable thus sold out fast," he said.

Meanwhile, one of the residents, Muhammad Taufik feels grateful because FSTJ hold market operation for garlic commodity.

"Its price is cheaper than in the market. I only spend Rp 40 thousand for 1 kilogram of garlic," he expressed.

In this market operation, FSTJ distributed 2 types of garlic in 14 locations. Kating garlic is sold with price Rp 20 thousand per 500 grams, while honan garlic Rp 17,500 per 500 grams.
