Three Waste Depots in Penjaringan will Develop Worm Farming

Penjaringan Sub-district Environment (LH) Unit, Central Jakarta, plans to develop worm farming in three waste depots in Penjaringan.
We will cultivate worm at Moa Depot in Pejagalan, Muara Angke Depot in Pluit, and Muara Baru Depot in Penjaringan
Worm farming is not only useful to convert organic waste into fertilizer, but it also has economic value.
Penjaringan LH Unit Head, Matsani conveyed, worm farming will make depot area become more organized and usefull. Besides, parts of the land also can be used to produce fertilizer and park.
South Jakarta Intensifies Waste Management Socialization"We will cultivate worm at Moa Depot in Pejagalan, Muara Angke Depot in Pluit, and Muara Baru Depot in Penjaringan," he explained, Tuesday (2/18).
According to him, worm farming has running in Moa Depot. While composter has effectively operated in all three depots.
"We also use the worm to feed fish and bird. Next month we will implement it in two other locations," he closed.
