Bapenda Ajukan Revisi Tiga Perda

Bapenda Proposes Amendments to Three Regional Regulations

Jakarta Provincial Government through Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) proposed amendments towards three regional regulations (Perda).

Proposal proposed regarding regional regulation amendments continue to be processed in 2020

Jakarta Bapenda Secretary, Pilar Hendrani conveyed, those three regulations are; Perda No. 18/2010 about Fees for Acquisition of Land and Building Rights (BPHTB), Perda No. 15/2010 about Street Lighting Tax, and Perda No. 16/2010 about Parking Tax.

"Proposal proposed regarding regional regulation amendments continue to be processed in 2020," he conveyed, Wednesday (2/19).

He explained, governor regulation (Pergub) from the third derivative of tax regulation that will be revised are adjusting off-street parking rates based on time zone and place, adjusting billboard rental values and encouraging LED billboard in tight control areas, and adjusting Sales Value of Tax Objects (NJOP) for Land and Building Tax.

"There are three Pergub that will be rearranged. Those are Groundwater Tax, Street Lighting Tax, and Parking Tax. Hopefully revised legal framework for those three taxes can be completed this year," he asserted.

Proposal to revise parking tax, he assessed, is one of his efforts to support Jakarta Governor's program to encourage more people to use mass transports.

"As well as amendment to Groundwater Tax, we expect this to minimize land subsidence," he added.

According to him, those proposed amendments are also in line with regulations set by central government.

"We are referring to Law (UU) No. 28/2009 regarding Regional Tax and Levy," he said.
