Collaborating with Three Government-Owned Banks, Bapenda Applies Online Tax Reporting

Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) signed a cooperation agreement regarding online tax reporting with three government-owned banks consisting Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) and Bank DKI.

Jakarta Bapenda Acting Head (Plt) Sri Haryati conveyed, this cooperation is done to optimize regional revenue from number of local taxes.
"Hopefully our tax revenue can be more optimized in 2020," she said after signing MoU at Jakarta City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (2/20).
Bapenda Proposes Amendments to Three Regional RegulationsThis cooperation, she assessed, will give benefits to taxpayers in reporting taxes from their business.
"Later on,
we will get tax report based on actual transaction and real time," she asserted.This tax reporting includes four types of taxes namely, hotel tax, entertainment tax, parking tax, and restaurant tax.
"Bank and tax officials will collect directly four types of businesses in Jakarta and install online tax reporting tools," she said.
Related to this cooperation, there are two state-owned banks, BRI and BNI that collaborate with Jakarta Provincial Government in developing the capital city.
"Collaboration and innovation will facilitate the taxpayers. Thus we also urge businessmen who run hotels, entertainment venues, parking, and restaurants to take a part in this online tax reporting program," she stated.
