Tens of Joint Officers Sent to Handle Inundation at Kemayoran Underpass

Predictably the underpass can already be used again in tomorrow morning

Tens of joint personnel consist of PPSU, Fire and Rescue Sub-agency and PUPR Ministry are seen handling inundation that hits the Kemayoran Underpass, Central Jakarta after heavy rain poured Jakarta and its surrounding areas at dawn earlier, on Sunday (2/23).

"There are 10 officers of PPSU, 20 firemen of Fire and Rescue Sub-agency and officers of PUPR Ministry," expressed Kebon Kosong Urban Village Head, Suparjo.

Inundation, Transjakarta Routes Had to Be Diverted

At 4 AM, he stated, water level reached 40 centimeters high and increased up to 3 meters at 6 AM.

"Right now the water has receded up to 2.3 meters," he stated.

Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency's Kemayoran Sector Head Unggul Wibowo expressed two pumps with 14,000 liters and 2,000 liters per second capacities have been deployed to the location, including three pumps from the ministry and one pump from State Secretariat.

"Predictably the underpass can already be used again in tomorrow morning," he stressed.
