Fund Savings, Industry and Energy Dept. Gets Appreciation

The National Committee of Non-Governmental Organization (KN-LSM) gave an appreciation to Jakarta Industry and Energy Department due to budget saving. The same thing is hoped can also be imitated by Regional Working Units (SKPD) under Jakarta Provincial Government.

For this year, Jakarta Industry and Energy Department will spend Rp 100 billion to provide 3,620 absorption wells. After passing through a long process, they were instructed to save Rp 60 billion. Thus, the amount of funds that can be used for well construction is Rp 40 billion.

"We give appreciation to Head of Jakarta Industry and Energy Department, Haris Pindratno who could save fund up to 60 percent. We also plan to give him a special award in the upcoming October," expressed Chairman of Indonesia KN-LSM's Executive Board (DPP), Hobbin, Wednesday (9/24).

SKPD Heads Obligated to Make Clear Planning

According to the data of Indonesia KN-LSM, as many as 1,949 wells were built by spending Rp 150 billion.

He disclosed, with Rp 40 billion, Jakarta Industry and Energy Department could build more wells than last year. "Last year, we didn't apply fund savings, but it would be imposed this year up to tens of millions rupiah. Thus, the rest funds can be allocated for health and education sectors," he stated.

Separately, Head of Jakarta Industry and Energy Department, Haris Pindratno acknowledged his department will only use Rp 40 out of 100 billion for well construction because the construction is more focused on the shallow type.

He predicted well construction will finish at the end of December because of obstacles in the auction process in the Goods and Service Procurement Unit (ULP). "We'll build 3,500 points with shallow type (3 meters long) and 120 points (60 meters long)," he uttered.
