Mud Dredging Work at Ciliwung River Accelerated

Central Jakarta Government accelerates mud dredging  in Ciliwung River as long as Jalan Inspeksi Kwitang, Senen.

Hopefully all related sides can collaborate to increase the aesthetic in Ciliwung River

Central Jakarta Vice Mayor, Irwandi stated, mud dredging process now reaches about 45 percent. His side expected this dredging can increase aesthetic in Ciliwung River.

"Its process now reaches 45 percent. Hopefully all related sides can collaborate to increase the aesthetic in Ciliwung River," he said, Thursday (3/19).

His side targeted this work could be finished until the next two months. His side also asked Central Jakarta Urban Forest and Park Office to green the riverbank.

"Park on the riverbank shouldn't be messy. Many plants should be planted thus it can be neat and not prone to landslide," he explained.

Central Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Office Head, Ahmad Saiful conveyed, his side deployed two excavators to dredge the mud as deep as 2 meters along 800 meters.

"We deployed 30 personnel to the location. It is predicted to complete until the next two month," he mentioned.
