Seawall Construction on Karya Island Has Touched 90 Percent

We have sent eight workers to finish it

The construction of a seawall (called outer sea dike) on the north and east sides of Karya Island, Panggang Island Urban Village has touched more than 90 percent and is targeted to be complete by the end of this month.

"We have sent eight workers to finish it," expressed Thousand Islands Water Resources Sub-agency Head, Abdul Rauf, Tuesday (3/24).

Specifically for the north side, the seawall is made up to 55 meters long with 1.30 meters wide and 80 centimeters high. While the east side has 57.80 meters long with 1.30 meters wide and 80 centimeters high.

"We make it to reduce land subsidence on Karya Island due to waves," he hoped.
