Disinfection Carried Out in Several Main Roads in Central Jakarta

Central Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-Agency and police officers sprayed disinfectant in several main roads, including Jalan Gajah Mada, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat dan Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Jalan MH Thamrin, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Pasar Senen Underpass, Pasar Senen Roundabout, Kramat Bundar and Tanah Abang Market.

Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-Agency Head, H. Asril Rizal conveyed, as many as 20 personnel and three medium-sized firetrucks with capacity 400 liters were deployed to spray the roads with disinfectant. There were also 20 police officers and 15 Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-Agency (Sudinhub) personnel who control the traffic on the location.

"We spray the roads in Central Jakarta together with police officers," he said, Tuesday (3/31).

Disinfectant Spraying Carried Out in Two Arterial Roads in Cilandak

According to him, each firetruck can accomodate 6-7 personnel to spray the roads. Disinfectant liquid used in this spraying was homemade product that contain of 3.2 kilograms of chlorine which poured into the water tank.

"We made it based on the recommendation from Jakarta Health Agency," he stated.
