Rice Packages Aid Delivered to Funeral and Health Workers

The bicycle lovers community who are members of the Star Go West Community (SGWC), distributed rice aid to funeral and health workers in West Jakarta, on Tuesday (4/14).

For the first stage, we sent 300 packages. Then our next target is local citizens and workers who are prone to COVID-19

West Jakarta Vice Mayor M Zen said that the aid was in the form of 300 packages containing five kilograms of rice. From that number, 100 packages were distributed to funeral workers and 200 are distributed to health workers.

"Another aid will also be distributed to medical workers under Cengkareng, Taman Sari and Kebon Jeruk RSUDs," he told.

SGWC Leader Ahmad Ya'la said that it was addressed to officers who are vulnerable to COVID-19. Previously his side also had sent protective equipments to health and funeral workers.

"For the first stage, we sent 300 packages. Then our next target is local citizens and workers who are prone to COVID-19," he stressed.

Feri (36), one of funeral workers from Tegal Alur TPU expressed his grateful over the aid. It was very helpful for him and his colleagues.

"Thank you and hopefully there will be more help later," he hoped.
