Culture Agency Appreciates Commission B Legislator for Assistance Given to Art Workers

Jakarta Culture Agency appreciated legislator of Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission B, Adi Kurnia Setiadi, related to his assistance for art workers affected by coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

We really appreciate Mr. Adi Kurnia Setiadi for his concern towards art workers

Jakarta Culture Agency's Secretary, Imam Hadi Purnomo mentioned, many art workers who lost their income due to COVID-19 pandemic.

"We really appreciate Mr. Adi Kurnia Setiadi for his concern towards art workers. The more people are moved to provide assistance, of course the better," he said after handover the assistance, Saturday (4/18).

Commission B Wants PD Dharma Jaya to Continue Increasing Performance

He mentioned that civil apparatuses (ASN) in Culture Agency also raised donations and collected Rp. 103,805,000 for art workers.

"We use that donation fund to buy 500 staple food packages and we have given it door-to-door. All art workers who receive the assistance have been verified first based on priority scale," he stated.

Meanwhile, Commission B Legislator, Adi Kurnia Setiadi said, COVID-19 affected many people in various sectors, including art workers. From the beginning of Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) implementation, no more activities involving many people, including art performances.

"Most art workers also lost a lot of income. On this basis, we feel called to help them in this caring program," he expressed.

He encourage other people to share with others in need, including art workers.

"Alhamdulillah, today I can help them by providing 300 staple food packages consist of rice, cooking oil, sugar, and flour. I entrust it to the Culture Agency that has collected data on COVID-19  affected art workers," he mentioned.
