Jalan Munggang Repairs in Balekambang Have Been Completed

The process of repairing Jalan Munggang in RT 10/04 Balekambang Urban Village, Kramat Jati, completed, Sunday (5/3). Previously the road had experienced cracks and collapsed on Thursday due to frequent rain erosion.

The damage wasn't too severe so we speeded up the repair

East Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency for Road and Bridge Division Head Ilham Raya said repair was made along 31 meters on Friday (5/1).

"The damage wasn't too severe so we speeded up the repair," he expressed.

Damaged Drainage on Panggang Island Repaired

According to him, its process went smoothly as the access road was temporarily diverted and now the process was continued by the East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency for making crossing channel and drainage by involving dozens of personnel.

East Jakarta Water Resources Su-agency Head Santo expressed that the work aimed to overcome the frequent floods.

"It is targeted to be complete up to 15 days ahead. Our problem here is semi-permanent buildings (illegal). They must be controlled first for the smooth running of our work," he exclaimed.

He went on to say that the crossing channel would have five meters length and drainage would have 10 meters length. They would be connected to the existing drainage on the east side of the road and the Ciliwung River flow on the west side.

"We make the width and its depth up to 60 centimeters using box culverts," he told.

Kramat Jati Sub-district Head Eka Darmawan said that his side had a plan to summon semi-permanent building owners on Monday (5/4).

"We'll summon them to dismantle their building by themselves," he closed.
