Forced to Pay Retribution, Bus Passengers Complained

The passengers of Intercity Interprovincial (AKAP) bus in Kalideres Terminal are complaining levy payment on the use of the terminal facility as much as Rp 1,000. They do not complain about the amount of fees to be paid, but payment method that impressed force and carried on the bus.

"If we don't pay, the bus will not be departed. It impressed coercion. We do not like it," complained Ismayati (32), a passenger of Arimbi Bus (Kalideres-Merak), Monday (10/6).

Ismayati continued the bus attendant also does not provide ticket of payment to passengers. "If there is no ticket of payment, we worry the money can be use for corruption," she said.

AKAP Terminal Closed, Illegal Terminal in Lebak Bulus Rampant

Head of Kalideres AKAP Bus Terminal, Djoko Sukarno disclosed fee payment amounting to Rp 1,000 is set in the Bylaw No. 3/2012 on Regional Levies.

He explained the payment should ideally be collected when passengers will ride the bus. Due to terminal does not have ticket counter, thus it had to be done on the bus.

"All this time, we don't have a ticket counter. That's why we had to do the payment on the bus," he uttered.
