Gulkarmat Agency Head Leads Disinfectant Spraying in East Jakarta

Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Agency Head, Satriadi Gunawan led disinfectant spraying in East Jakarta, Tuesday (6/2).

It is our routine activities to prevent COVID-19 transmission

It was started at Nurul Iman Mosque on Jl. Raya Cilangkap, RW 01 Cilangkap, then continued to Koinonia Church on Jl. Jatinegara Barat, Kampung Melayu, Jatinegara. Gulkarmat personnel sprayed the buildings, from the entrance, toilets, hall, rooms, stairs, railing, and others.

He explained, disinfectant spraying is carried out routinely to prevent COVID-19 transmission. Not only worship places, but his side also regularly spray other public facilities such as traditional markets, RPTRAs, roads, schools, and social facilities.

"It is our routine activities to prevent COVID-19 transmission as well as to make people safe and comfort," he mentioned.

East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency Head, Muchtar Zakaria said, it involved 15 personnel and 5 electric spraying tanks with capacity 16 liters for each unit.

"We immediately follow up disinfection request from residents," he added.

Meanwhile, Nurul Iman Mosque DKM Head, Tasripin Karim conveyed his gratitude and appreciated Jakarta Gulkarmat Agency for disinfecting the location.

"We also routinely spray the areas independently, besides assistance from Gulkarmat Agency. Hopefully it gives comfort and safe feeling to the prayers," he mentioned.
