Local-scale Social Restrictions Carried Out at 15 RWs in North Jakarta

North Jakarta Task Force for the acceleration of COVID-19 Handling implemented Local-scale Social Restrictions (PSBL) at 15 red zone RWs in 9 urban villages.

North Jakarta Task Force Chief, Ali Maulana Hakim explained, PSBL is implemented to avoid COVID-19 spread in North Jakarta.

"RW Task Force Team only isolates the location, not totally closes down the functions. They will control local residents who enter and exit the area," he explained, Thursday (6/11).

PSBL, East Jakarta Government Tightens Monitoring in 15 RWs

Moreover, RW Task Force also required to provide hand washing facilities, scheduled disinfectant spraying, and ensured waste to be transported according to health protocols.

According to him, those 15 red zone RWs will be monitored by Task Force Teams from urban village, sub-district, and city levels. The officers also required to list the needs of residents who isolate themselves at home.

"From this check list, we can know who has recovered or still being treated," he conveyed.

Sub-district Health Center (Puskesmas) will also conduct swab test on residents who had direct contact with COVID-19 patients. If the result is positive and they have congenital disease, then they will be referred to the hospital.

"Those who are positive without symptoms and want to do self-isolation at home, surely we will allow it. In condition, they must comply with health protocols," he asserted.
