38 Guided Companies Participate in Trade EXPO

As much as 38 guided companies of Jakarta Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and Trade (KUMKMP) Department are participating in the event of the 29th Trade Expo located at JlExpo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. The international trade fair officially opened on Wednesday (10/8) is participated by 102 countries exhibiting14.220 products and services.

"We're optimistic superior products and services produced by 38 guided companies can compete with other countries. Several superior products are honey, juice drinks, food, coffee, tea, handicrafts, etc," said Head of Jakarta KUMKMP Department, Joko Kundaryo.

City to Hold the 2014 JTE in 9 Cities

He explained that before being exhibited in the Trade Expo, a tight selection was already done on companies and products that will participate. "All of this is a proposal of the KUMKMP Sub-Department in five areas. Selection is important in a bid to avoid similar products," he expressed.

Kundaryo expressed one of the requirements to join the event is the company should be able to produce products simultaneously or continuously. In addition, its production capacity should also meet the consumer's target request.

As known, Trade Ministry will hold another Trade Expo and will take theme 'Toward Green Business' that prioritizes environmental aspects.

Such event is held in cooperation with the Trade Ministry and Foreign Affairs Ministry, Industry Ministry, Agriculture Ministry, BUMN Ministry, Cooperatives-UKM Ministry, Maritime and Fishery Ministry, and Investment Coordinating Agency.
