Free bus school service which provided by Jakarta Government is still in demand by commuters who usually take KRL Commuterline (electric rain) to go to and from Jakarta.
In total, we have transported more than 1,700 commuters using school buses
On Monday (6/22) morning, as many as 526 people used this service from 4 different stations namely, Bogor Station, Cilebut Station, Bojonggede Station, and Depok Station.
Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub)'s School Transport Management Unit Head, Ali Murthadho conveyed, his side provided 50 buses in those four stations with 6 final destinations of 6 stations in Jakarta namely, Tebet Station, Manggarai Station, Sudirman Station, Tanah Abang Station, Duri Station, and Juanda Station.

According to him, Jakarta Dishub has provided 50 school buses in 7 stations in Jakarta to transport commuters with domicile in Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi (Bodetabek) on last Friday (6/19).
"We provide bus schools at Juanda Stations, Sudirman Station, Tanah Abang Station, Manggarai Station, Tebet Station, Duri Station, and Palmerah Stastion. In total, we have transported 303 passengers to 5 terminals in Greater Jakarta areas," he added.
Most passengers were departed from Tebet Station with 83 people, then Manggarai Station with 60 passengers, Sudirman Station 57 passengers, and Tanah Abang Station 37 people. It was dominated by passengers with final destination to Depok and Bogor.
"We prepared school bus in the stations to anticipate buildup of KRL passengers in stations, especially in weekends during the transitional PSBB period," he stated.
Previously, he continued, 371 commuters have been transported from Jakarta to 5 terminals in Greater Jakarta areas on Friday (6/12). While as many as 564 commuters have been transported from 4 different stations; Bogor Station, Cilebut Station, Bojonggede Station, and Depok Baru Station; to Jakarta on Monday (6/15) morning.
"In total, we have transported more than 1,700 commuters using school buses. It means this service is still high in demand. We always remind passengers to comply with COVID-19 prevention protocols while on the bus," he closed.
