Komisi E DPRD DKI Bahas Jalur Zonasi PPDB

Commission E Discusses PPDB Zonation Pathways

We'll try it first, if the zonation fails, we focus on achievement pathway

The Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD)'s Commission E along with Jakarta Education Agency, held a meeting related to the new students (PPDB) for the academic year 2020/2021, Thursday (6/24).

In the meeting, the Commission E requested PPDB technical guidelines to be explained clearly in front of the parents.

Here are Schedule for Online Student Admissions in Jakarta

The Commission E Chairperson Iman Satria said that this decision was the best considering there are still other PPDB pathway provisions, namely the zoning and achievement.

"We'll try it first, if the zonation fails, we focus on achievement pathway. Besides the 40 percent zoning route is quite high," he expressed, after he led the meeting at the City Council Building.

He went on to say that if changes were made or discretion-zoning pathways, it would only lead to wider disappointment from the parents.

Therefore, for students who get private schools do not need to be discouraged, as the agency would issue a policy in the form of partisanship program for students who have Jakarta Smart Cards (KJP) in private schools.

He added his party was about to carry out further evaluations in the future after PBBD is carried out while discussing the bylaw on education that will cover all education rules in the capital.

"We'll evaluate soon," he stated.
