June 4 to 30, Satpol PP Cracked Down on 15,420 Health Protocols Violations

During the transition period of Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) from June 4 to 30, 2020, Jakarta Satpol PP has cracked down on 15,420 violations on COVID-19 prevention protocols.  

Total fines collected in transitional PSBB period reaches Rp 413,460,000

Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Arifin mentioned, health protocols monitoring carried out in public places to discipline people and business places with different types of sanction, consist of written warnings, fines, and social work.

"We have given 60 written warnings, 1,331 fines and 14,029 social sanctions to the violators. All of the sanctions are regulated in Pergub No. 41/2020," he conveyed, Thursday (7/2).

Business places that committed violations mostly did not carry out a complete COVID-19 prevention protocol. While for individual, most people were sanctioned for not wearing masks when going outside.

"Total fines collected in transitional PSBB period reaches Rp 413,460,000 for business places and Rp 226,710,000 for individual violation cases. While for public facilities, it reaches Rp 186,750,000. All of them are distributed to regional treasury," he informed.

His side also continued to monitor and control tourism destinations and entertainment venues in order to ensure people were discipline and comply with the regulation.

"We want all people to implement health protocols in order to curb the COVID-19 spread in Jakarta," he asserted.

All regulations that have been set applied for all Jakarta residents without exception.

"If they violate it, then we will be sanctioned based on the violation," he closed.
