Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economic (Parekraf) Agency is optimistic that they can reach the target of 1,540 Jakpreneurs this year.

According to Helma Dahlia, Division Head of Jakarta Creative Economic, from January - July 23, as many as 1,065 people had registered or entered P1 Jakpreneur stage. Even, 386 Jakpreneurs had entered the training stage (P2) and 40 other Jakpreneurs in the mentoring stage (P3).

"There are also 16 Jakpreneurs in permit stage (P4) and two others in marketing stage (P5). In total there are seven stages refer to the 7 steps of PAS or Will Sure Be Successful," she expressed, Friday (7/24).

She was optimistic that this year's target could be achieved amid COVID-19, as the current conditions could also spur people to become entrepreneurs.

"Jakarta Provincial Government consistently takes an active role in encouraging and stimulating the development of MSMEs through the Jakpreneur program," she explained.

Sh e added people who participated in this program had the opportunity to obtain facilities to develop collaboratively. Moreover, with the existence of PJLP as mentoring, the Jakpreneur target was expected to be reached sooner.

"Last year we reached 100 percent and this year we'll repeat the same thing. Therefore, we are ready to facilitate those who want to start a business or become new entrepreneurs or those want to go up a class," he said.
