City Collaborates with Various Parties to Assist 1,000 SMEs

Jakarta Government builds cooperation with several companies to support small micro enterprises (SMEs) during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Collaboration is needed to assist SMEs in Jakarta

Jakarta Secretariat in Economy and Finance Bureau's Regional Economy Sub-division Head, Azwar Anas stated, as many as 1,000 SMEs and 641 mentors in Jakarta have been trained to make sure their products remain competitive even though in the midst of pandemic.

"Collaboration is needed to assist SMEs in Jakarta through cooperation with Bank DKI, startup companies, and Indonesian Financial Services Association," he explained, Thursday (7/23).

According to him, training which given for SMEs under Jakarta Government was related to digital marketing and micro credit restructuring due to COVID-19.

"Participants learn digital marketing and online financial education in training which held simultaneously in 44 sub-districts through zoom application," he said.

Jakarta Government, he added, also provided door-to-door service for SMEs who want to apply for Small Micro Business Permit (IUMK).

"AJIB personnel from Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency will pick up their documents and take photo of their business site location. After IUMK has been issued, personnel will deliver it to the applicants," he conveyed.

Several companies which involved in this joint collaboration are Tokopedia, Shopee, Blibli, Gojek and Grab.
