MRT Phase II Construction Begins, Dishub Ready to Implement Traffic Engineering

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) implements traffic engineering on Jalan MH. Thamrin, Central Jakarta, due to Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Phase II construction.
For the first stage of construction work on Jalan MH. Thamrin will be started from Bundaran HI MRT Station until National Monument (Monas)'s Fountain Roundabout
Through MRT Phase II construction project, MRT will expand and connect its lane from Bundaran HI MRT Station to Kota Tua which divided into 3 sections; CP 201, CP 202, and CP 203.
Jakarta Dishub Head, Syafrin Liputo conveyed, the construction will be started from Bundaran HI Station to Simpang Harmoni which called the CP 201 section.
MRT Phase II Construction will Be Postponed Until June 2020"For the first stage of construction work on Jalan MH. Thamrin will be started from Bundaran HI MRT Station until National Monument (Monas)'s Fountain Roundabout," he said, Friday (7/27).
In order to support MRT construction, his side will implement traffic engineering based on the construction stages, as follows;
1. Stage 1.1 (July 24 - November 30, 2020)
a) Making a detour/widening Jalan MH. Thamrin in front of Gedung Sinarmas
b) Making a detour/widening Jalan MH. Thamrin on the eastern area starts from in front of Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT) Building until Bank Indonesia Building.
c) Making a detour/widening Jalan MH. Thamrin on the western area from in front of Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry (ESDM) up to Thamrin 10
d) Demolishing Bank Indonesia Transjakarta Bus Stop
e) Building temporary Transjakarta Bus Stop
2. Stage 1.2 (December 1, 2020 - March 30, 2021)
a) Construction site will use the road median and Transjakarta bus lanes along the area.
b) Bank Indonesia Transjakarta Bus Stop will be moved to temporary bus stop on the eastern side of Bank Indonesia Building and Wisma Mandiri
c) Transjakarta mix traffic lanes and regular lanes will be moved to the leftmost lane based on the temporary bus stop location
"During the Stage 1.1 period, one lane will be closed along the construction area. Then for Stage 1.2, detour or widening the eastern and western side of Jalan MH. Thamrin later can be used for traffic," he explained.
