Commission D DPRD Chairperson Syarif appreciated the Jakarta Provincial Government's efforts in improving the quality of settlements by rebuilding the Kampung Susun (vertical village) Akuarium, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.
Thank you to the governor for his commitment in carrying out the work program for rearranging 21 villages starting from the Kampung Akuarium
According to him, the revitalizing Kampung Susun Akuarium, which is part of the Community Action Plan (CAP) program for 21 villages in Jakarta, is a sign of the Jakarta Provincial Government's siding with the small community.
"Thank you to the governor for his commitment in carrying out the work program for rearranging 21 villages starting from the Kampung Akuarium," he expressed, Tuesday (8/18).
Kampung Akuarium Shelter Construction Reaches 90 PercentHe explained it had been carried out very comprehensively as its process involved local residents to transform all the needs in the form of development architecture.
"So this is not top down, we also appreciate it as it is the result of a very long dialogue with the residents," he expressed.
Based on the design, he assessed, the two towers construction with five floors in that location would be erected. For him, it is very good considering that it has
accommodated various needs of the community, such as houses of worship, marine tourism areas that would revive the residents' economy and ease the burden on residents by making the decision to remove elevators as access to up and down."Ideally it must have three floors but five floors without a lift is good enough. It is because we need to monitor the maintenance process yet if we use a lift for maintenance, it can be a burden to residents," he told.
He also hoped that it could proceed according to the work plan, which was the construction had been completed or residents already had the key in December 2021.
"I hope so, despite we want it to be accelerated for two months or at least they (residents) already have the key in September 2021. After that we will focus on the status of ownership, in this case with the Public Housing and Settlement Area Agency," he stated.
