Entering Transitional PSBB, Here are Transjakarta Adjustments Starting October 12

Entering Transitional Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) period, PT. Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) made changes to its operational policies which applied on October 12-25, 2020.

According to the direction from Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan, Transjakarta bus stops will be re-functioned

PT. Transjakarta President Director, Sardjono Jhony Tjitrokusumo conveyed, his side adjusted the operating pattern for Transitional PSBB period, in which Transjakarta operating hours were extended from 05:00 to 22:00. While health workers will be served from 22:00 to 23:00.

"According to the direction from Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan, Transjakarta bus stops will be re-functioned. However, these shelters can't be functioned optimally, thus it is only functioned with minimum operation pattern," he said, Monday (10/12).

Bundaran HI Bus Stop, one of Transjakarta bus stops which heavily damaged some time ago, is also available to serve passengers. But for Transjakarta users who want to access Bundaran HI Bus Stop will be directed to go through MRT underground station.

"We will ensure to give our best service to the customers, especially now passenger can pay the ticket using QR Code or electronic cards that can be used at the gates. While other bus shelters such as Sawah Besar, Sarinah, Senen (route to Pulogadung), and Senen (route to Harmoni) have provided Tap on Bus (TOB) ticket payment system," he mentioned.

Moreover, his side also assisted by Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) and TNI/Police to monitor people's movement tightly in all public areas including transportation. That way, he hopes the customers can still use Transjakarta service safely and comfortably.

He ensured, PT. Transjakarta remains consistent in implementing health protocols, especially in terms of sanitation and washing buses, including its interior with disinfectant.

"We always encourage people to stay at home except for urgent needs. Even you need to go outside, please be sure to implement 3M, namely wearing mask, washing hands, and maintaining physical distance," he stated.
