Thousand Islands SDA Adds Biopore Infiltration Holes in Pramuka Island

Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency added 3 biopore infiltration holes on Jalan Lingkar Plaza Kabupaten, Pramuka Island, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands.

Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Abdul Rouf conveyed, biopore infiltration holes were made with depth 50 centimeters each.

"Biopore infiltration holes are important to preserve groundwater. Apart from that, biopore holes can also prevent inundation when it rains," he explained, Monday (10/12).

Biopore Holes on Panggang Island are Expanded

In this year, his side has made biopore holes and vertical drainage in 121 points in Panggang Island Urban Village, where 52 points are located in RW 04 and 69 points in RW 05.

"We hope to build more biopore holes and infiltration wells in Thousand Islands thus land can collect more water, especially to minimize inundation," he stated.
