Cilincing Sees Decrease in COVID-19 Cases

Cilincing Sub-district Puskesmas head Edison has claimed that the trend of positive COVID-19 cases in Cilincing area, North Jakarta in the second week has seen a decrease by 50 percent more than the first week of October 2020. By contrast, in the same period the patient's cure rate increased by more than 100 percent.

"Positive cases in Cilincing in the first week hit 136 people. In the second week, it decreased to 64 people," he expressed, Friday (10/16).

According to him, the number of cases decreased at the same time recorded the lowest cases since an increase in the second week of August. In the second week of August, there was an increase by 158 cases compared to the previous week, which reached only 28 cases.

"That's why the positive cases in Cilincing is averaging over 100 cases per week, except in the period from September 28 to 4 October, there were 82 cases," he told.

He added the incessant socialization had an impact on the public to understand more about how to anticipate not contracting the disease and participate in the tracing, testing and treatment (3T) movement conducted by the government.

"The curve of cases recovered in the second week of October has increased from 34 people in the first week to 72 people. We're currently in the yellow zone," he stated.
