5,592 Trees Pruned in West Jakarta

West Jakarta Park and Urban Forest Sub-agency recorded, as many as 5,592 trees had been pruned from January to September 2020.

Pruning is done to anticipate falling trees in rainy season

West Jakarta Park and Urban Forest Sub-agency Head, Djauhar Arifien stated, pruning was mostly carried out by personnel who monitored trees condition in the region.

Besides, pruning also carried out to follow up residents' request via Citizen Relation Management (CRM) Jakarta Smart City app.

50 Trees in Wijayakusuma Park Pruned

"Pruning is done to anticipate falling trees in rainy season," he added, Monday (10/26).

In detail, there were 4,269 trees pruned with light pruning, 1,044 trees with moderate pruning, 279 trees with heavy pruning, and 98 trees that cut down.

Each sub-district has 1 team while 2 teams in sub-agency. There are 7 personnel with 2 chainsaw and 1 dump truck in each teams.

In addition, his side also prepared 1 crane to evacuate fallen trees and ladders if there are trees that are difficult to reach for pruning.

"For night shift, we prepare 2 teams," he closed.
